Here’s a free PDF illustrating Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy Of Needs that you can download, save, share, and print as you see fit.
It’s much easier for young children to take learning risks when their basic needs have been met. The most child-friendly early learning settings tend to devote a lot of time and attention to Maslow’s lower levels. Why? Because focusing on painting a picture, mud play, using your manners, being The Batman, and just about everything else is challenging when you’re hungry, tired, and have to poop.
