  1. I just listened to CCBAG_0436 Does PLAY Need a Modifier; After the tea spill the conversation touched on provider education on Play. I believe Jeff says something about the preparatory process the provider went through misguiding us… Hits the nail on the head!!! I have gotten as far as my ECE Diploma and don’t see the point of spending the time or money towards attaining my associates degree! You are correct, I can micromanage a group of children through every lesson plan and transition with what the T.E.A.C.H. program has paid for me to learn in night school. None of the classes I took talked about the value of playing outside of getting the children to move for 60 minutes each day. HILARIOUS!! Who needs to get a healthy child to move?? Adult education (college and more of the CCR&R classes I have noticed) are about managing and controlling children! The adult educational system needs to be educated!

Listening to your podcasts have been key in changing my practice for the better for children and families in my care! Keep ’em coming!

    1. Thanks for the comment, Dawn. AND the kind words. It means a lot to us that you find value in our jabbering. 🙂

I totally agree that the goal seems to be managing and controlling. It’s sad. 🙂
Lisa and I are recording a couple more episodes in about an hour and I’ll probably share part of your post.
