Wet is another one of those concept loose parts we feature from time to time. Not all loose parts are physical objects, some are ideas that kids can interact with in your play space.

So, how do you help kids bump up against this concept? It’s easy. Create a space where they can interact with water and offer up physical loose parts like wading pools, sponges, fabric, buckets, and eye droppers. Then pay attention to their play–chances are that if they don’t already understand the concept, they soon will. It’s almost as if children are wired to learn about the world through play.
