According to Simon Nicholson, loose parts are variables in the environment. Dried orange slices are variables that offer up interesting textures, vibrant colors, and zesty citrus scents. Among other things, they can be used in recipes, craft projects, in water play, and on a light table. Kids would enjoy being part of making them as well–it’s a simple process.
