Dice serve as excellent loose parts, contributing to diverse and engaging play experiences for children. The inherent randomness and numerical aspects of dice will help children bump up against STEM concepts and spark social interaction as they play.
Aside from use in purchased or child-created games, dice make good blocks, manipulatives for sorting and arranging, and intriguing additions to activities like water, mud, or playdough play.
