Bobbers are an interesting addition to water play that can spark an interest in buoyancy and other STEM play and exploration. They’re available in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes and generally reasonably priced (affiliate link).
Some kids will enjoy pretending to go fishing after fashioning their own fishing rods from other loose parts. Others will enjoy experimenting. For example, how many paperclips must you attach to a small bobber to make it sink? How many do you have to attached to a larger one?
Another use: go fishing. What a field trip that’d be.
