Remember,  loose parts don’t have to be physical objects. Simon Nicholson, author of The Theory Of Loose Parts, mentions abstract concepts as loose parts. Playing with concepts usually requires manipulating physical objects. In the case of Up, physical loose parts, such as blocks, kites, stairs, ladders, playground climbing structures, balls, and more, help children explore the concept.
