Too often, we consider it a given that technology is the engine of human development. If you’re imagining the Sorcerer’s Apprentice stemming a flood of overflowing buckets, you wouldn’t be off base. This is a losing proposition because, while technology changes by the day, the principles of child development remain blessedly, and sometimes annoyingly, fixed.
