Tape Measures

Tape measures are loose parts that allow kids to bump up against numbers and numeracy. They can also promote lots of questions, searches for answers, conversation, and social interaction.

But be careful when selecting them and make sure they are properly supervised. The metal blades can be sharp. Yes, that is dried blood.

Opt for fabric or plastic blades. They are much safer.
