Supporting School Readiness With Sensory Integration

Sensory integration is a neurological process that organizes sensation from the body and environment. This process makes it possible for us to navigate and comprehend the world. It’s necessary for most every human activity. For the brain to organize sensation, the body needs to collect and feed lots of sensory information to the brain. To help the process along, much of a young child’s day should involve active interaction with the world.
