Shovels

Shovels are loose parts that allow children to have a transformative impact on their play space. They support heavy work and all the developmental benefits that come with it. They also support play with schemas like trajectory, transporting, and transforming.

When selecting them for children, opt for durability–even if it costs a bit more. There’s nothing more annoying and frustrating than trying to dig with a flimsy shovel.
