Unlike research on playfulness in children, research on playfulness in adults is limited. The studies that do exist, however, have appropriately examined behavioral qualities that are commonly associated with playfulness: being adventurous, creative, energetic, humorous, imaginative, outgoing, sociable, spontaneous, and many more. Nearly forty qualities have been linked to adult playfulness.
