When nursing a three month old infant in the middle of the night it is perfectly alright to wish and hope for them to fall asleep straight away. There is no reason to feel guilty about that feeling. Parents need to maintain their own personal needs at the same time as they meet the baby’s needs. If they do not they might loose themselves and let the baby take over.
