Seed Pods

Seed pods are amazing! Kids love collecting them, opening them, examining them, hauling them around, sorting them, and more. If your play environment doesn’t generate its own seed pods, you can always reach out to others to haul in these engaging loose parts. They are especially beneficial additions to play spaces interested in supporting STEM play and exploration.

How can you support children’s use of them in your play environment?
