Why Cardboard Boxes?
Cardboard boxes of all sizes and shape fuel children’s activity and creativity in many ways that lead to diverse learning outcomes. In my experience, it’s difficult to have too many boxes–especially if you add tape, scissors, staplers, glue, and other creation-focused materials to the mix. They are the loosest of loose parts, able to become whatever children need them to be. A large box may be Darth Vader’s ship one day, a TARDIS the next day, and the cave of a sleepy bear the day after that.
