Logs are versatile loose parts that encourage imaginative play, outdoor exploration, and heavy work. They offer children opportunities to engage in hands-on, whole-body sensory exploration. Children can balance on them, climb over them, or arrange them to create imaginative structures such as forts or bridges. Structures or formations built from them become anchor locations for dramatic play scenarios and child-created games.
