Quote
When your work—or a part of it—is not meaningful to you, you have little emotional investment in it. You feel relatively detached and unrelated to what’s going on with it. The work is empty for you. It’s as though you are waiting for something else more significant to come along and are marking time or making do until it does. You may find yourself resenting the time or effort you spend on the work.
