It’s not a very complicated game. At the most basic, you 1)Find a thing and  2)Kick it.

The thing that’s kicked may be a ball, but it may not. Kids kick bottles, cans, rocks, balls, balloons, sticks, hunks of concrete, each other, and more.

Kicking stuff may start off simply, but kids tend to create rules that make such games more challenging as their skills improve. For example, a child may create the mental rule “I can only kick with my left foot” or “I can only kick with my heel” if she want’s to challenge herself.

As skills improve, children may take part in more complicated kicking games like kickball, soccer.
