Quote

In very early childhood two main processes are occurring. One is information gathering, the other is information processing, both of which, inevitably, have an effect on how the child sees the world. For example, if I start today with no tactile information and by the end of today I have a great deal of tactile information, my view of the world as a tactile space will have changed greatly by tea time, from what it was at breakfast.
