They include Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi, John Dewey, Michael Duane, Kurt Hahn, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Dorothy Heathcote, Jean Piaget, Maria Montessori, Lev Vygotsky, Sir Alec Clegg, Noam Chomsky, and many more. These various approaches don’t add up to a single school of thought or practice. What they have in common is a passion for forming education around how children learn and of what they need to learn to form themselves.
