Quote
From birth, a child relates to his world as he learns about it; and he learns about it as it, in turn, responds to him. He learns with sureness and accuracy or with a hazy confusion, depending upon the people and things around him. He learns from warmth, consistency and love, and opens as a glower in the sunshine to whatever new experience or knowledge may come his way. Or he learns from the coldness, irritability and neglect, and closes his mind and feeling against further hurt. He rejects those who already have rejected him.
