What Is The Bandwagon Effect?

Simply put, “The Bandwagon Effect is a psychological phenomenon in which people do something primarily because other people are doing it, regardless of their own beliefs, which they may ignore or override.” (www.investopedia.com)

Bandwagon Effect

The Bandwagon Effect is powerful in early learning, impacting everything from what children wear, how much time they spend outside, and how much they get to play. For example, a couple who feel their child should spend a lot of time playing may send the child to an early learning program that does not embrace play because their friends prefer it.
