Keep your baby’s feet bare as often as possible. Observe your baby’s feet and see how he articulates his toes. If he rolls over to his side, notice how he uses his toes—especially his big toe—for balance. If he’s crawling, see how he uses them to push off so that he can move forward. Socks and shoes inhibit free movement, so let your baby do without them whenever you can.
