Alison Gopnik

About Alison Gopnik

Alison Gopnik (1955-) is an American author and professor of psychology and affiliate professor of philosophy at the University of California at Berkeley. Gopnik’s research primarily focuses on young children’s cognitive development and casual learning. Her work “is informed by the ‘theory theory-’ the idea that children develop and change intuitive theories of the world in much the way that scientists do” (Gopnik, 2016).
