About Alfie Kohn

Alfie Kohn (1957-) is an American author and speaker on human behavior, education, and parenting. He supports progressive education, using social science research to question “the use of competition, incentive programs, conventional discipline, standardized testing, grades, homework, and traditional schooling.” (Alfie Kohn. (2016)).

Time magazine described him as “perhaps the country’s most outspoken critic of education’s fixation on grades [and] test scores.”
