Adult-Child Ratio

About Adult-Child Ratios

A ratio of the qualified caregivers to children in a child care or early learning setting. The required adult-child ratio varies from location to location, but most states and provinces require ratios near what the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) considers best practice (see below).
