Sam is an early childhood educator and the kind of person who drinks kombucha. She currently teaches Pre-K and is completing her M.Ed. while sitting in a variety of local San Diego coffee shops. She is also a fan of tater tots and heading up the creation of sample program polices for Playvolution HQ.

Josie is an early childhood educator turned children’s librarian from Kansas City, MO. When she’s not promoting play and early literacy, she loves to spend time with her family and travel. Bethany is the owner of The Children’s Burrow. She and her husband are Middle Tennessee transplants who often wonder if they live in a daycare. She hosts a summer camp for chickens, has a libation for every occasion, and has a small yarn problem.

Lisa Murphy

Lisa Murphy, MEd. created Ooey Gooey Inc. (originally The Learning Through Adventure Company) in 1997 in order to bring high-energy, informative, meaningful, exciting seminars and workshops to the early childhood educational community. And since conducting her first workshop (at a small preschool in San Diego for 15 teachers, where it took her 2 hours to set up and 2 mini-vans to haul all the materials) to some of her recent events in auditoriums that hold 5,000 , she now spends about 300 days a year on the road doing workshops and conferences both domestically and internationally.

Kristen Peterson is the founding director of a nature and forest preschool in Minnesota. She believes in dirty bathtubs, bare feet, and considers herself a play detective. She has 40 chickens, a goat, two dogs, a cat, two hissing beetles and four children. She loves to travel, inspire others in all things play and nature, and she is a creative mastermind. Even more creative than Jeff.
